Does falling for your best guy friend happen often?

Well I meant Bobby about 3 years ago and ever since then i have kind of liked him as more then a friend but never did anything about it. Now that we are both 16 i find that my little crush on him has gotten a little more intence. We have talked about dating but only as a joke.

bobby is my brothers best friend and they talk about all sorts of things and one day he happened to mention liking me as more the a friend.

He is a very shy guy and i has never had a girlfriend and i dont think he would ask me out because of fearing rejection. So the real question here is should i make the move and ask him or is it better just to stay friends. Im just looking for opinions. thanks!

I think so ..... cause he is your main person too be with so i would say go for it

it does happen alot and i do like my best guy friend
and yes i would go for it
