Godfather Part III.
Al Pacino does the best acting. I've tried to get that "Silent Scream" down at the end .... I go into tears every time I see him on his knees screaming with no sound coming out and everyone stopping, like time itself stops and God is there to freeze time to let everyone know why through this silent scream of a mortal man who didn't keep his promise ...
When I watch it, it's like I can see all the way to Michale Corleone's soul in that big wide open mouth and his head bobbing around in agony ... and it's almost like the soul disappears silently from this gaping wide open silent mouth ... and then, then the sound catches up and all hear Michale Corleone's scream catch up to the situation ( I'm usually hysterically crying here) ... Man, there is no other acting, or more captivating moment in movie history.
Freaking Italian's ... so much emotion.

Goodfellas, I watch it more than Scarface and Casino. I like A Bronx Tale, I don't know if that qualifies as an actual mafia movie though. Goodfellas had a lot of funny parts that weren't meant to be funny, and Joe Pesci, he makes those movies with his smart azz mouth and bad temper characters he portrays.

i really liked Casino... i actually never could get into the Godfather movies... maybe if i had watched them at the movies, and didn't have to be thinking in the back of my head that there were 2 more LOOOOng movies i could have finished the first one....lol

Casino was based on a true story, but was 5 hours long. It's amazing. Sopranos first three seasons are excellent.
