I am 39 weeks and a day pregnant and my face has been cool and pale a little bit.It is strange because my temperature is ok and all of my vitals are good. I went in and got checked today and they said I am dialted to one centemeter. The doctor thinks that it is more than likely my hormones since the baby is on her way. Could this be anemia? Or has anyone else had this before?

This doesn't sound like anemia to me, Anemia is when you have low hemoglobin. Hemoglobin carries oxygen around the body. I am anemia and signs of it are more tiredness and like you don't want to do anything. I do get pale when my hemoglobin is low but I don't feel cool. This may be in fact some early signs of labour!!

Good luck!

i had the same probablam with both my kids and i still and have alwasy had that problam. yes its anemia. its lack or iron.. are u taking prenatle vitamins. if u are u need to talk to ur doctor cause if ur iron is not up good when u have ur baby it can kill u. cause u will bleed alot after the baby is born. u need some extra iron. cause if ur pale that means ur not getting enough iron and it can be dangerouse. i have always had a problam with my iron. even if u go to the doctor and thay cheack it and say its good u need to tell them about u getting pale and all ur symptoms casue anemia can kill u and i know u would not want to leave ur baby mother less. plus how old are u ? and do u have any other kids? yes ur vitals and temp will stay fine just cause ur face is cool dont mean anything with temp. u have lack of iron...

Just trust your doctor then, it doesn't sound like anemia. What other symptoms do you have that would make you think this? Just enjoy your last week or so being pregnant. If you're really worried tell this to your doc and get a blood test done. I'm sure you're fine. Good Luck and congratulations!!!!!
