with gas everytime we go somewhere. I tell him not to bother, but he insist. How do I get him to stop.

Because he loves you and is showing his appreciation to you for taking him out. Be grateful as grandpa won't always be around and this will be a fond memory for you some day.

Why get him to stop, when prices keep going up, you're going to be glad he's paying for your gas, but really....
Just make sure you tank is filled up before you pick him up.

tell him you dont want him to spend his money on you. tell him that you can pay for it yourself and you are fine...but dont sound rude or like...i dont need your money say it kindly
