The earlier chapters showed the characters both not being very admiring of the other. They almost bordered on dislike...Mr. Bennett thought she did dislike him. For me, anyone that brings out that many emotions early on, a keeper.

well, i'm going to assume you asked this because you wanted to know:

first, hello! darcy's been cruel to her every since they met and since the bennets don't know about his proposal (which i thought was romantic, but there you go...) they will assume that he still is a rude rich guy out for a pretty wife...

and the deeper answer, i think, would be that she's never had anything good to say about him and they don't know what he's done for their family (lydia's marriage) so they have no reason to like him..

Because she has displayed mostly dislike of him, complained of his arrogance and high handedness. She has never indicated at all that she liked him, because she really couldn't admit it to herself.
