The answer lies in the history of modern man.

The truth is that same gender sex being considered a distasteful act is based on an historical need. That is, when a variety of socio/political forces challenged the right of some religious adherents to exist, those adherents needed a broader range of believers to their causes to gain the power to fight back. To this end, they proscribed several acts as being "wrong". Among these acts are homosexuality and birth control.

Their reasoning was simple: In order to survive as a group they needed a large number of believers in their cause over an extended period of time. The birth of children enlarged their contingency. Ergo, any act that did not create children was considered "wrong".

If not for these issues and the implementation of pagan ritual in Judeo-Christian narrative and practice, these faiths would not have become the stronghold they are. History shows that at several points non-pagan faiths suffered at the hands of secular factions and almost were eradicated. In order to survive, a variety of choices were made by the people in charge to establish a wide base of followers. Among those choices was to portray homosexuality as a sin instead of nothing more than a somewhat common choice among mammals.

This is history, not theological thinking. It's a mere fact. If, as a result, many believe that homosexuality is a sin there is a legitimate choice being made and -- for those people -- that lifestyle is wrong. For those who do not adhere to that religious or social doctrine homosexuality is not wrong.

That said, it's obvious there is no need to quarantine gays nor is there a need to attempt to make them realize their lifestyle is unacceptable. The truth is that it is not wrong in general, it is only wrong for those who choose to accept a socio/political need be incorporated into a theological doctrine.

Put them to the test to prove that thier lifestyle is correct, and then we can just accept them all as normal. First quarantine all the gays in some remote area of Siberia, and all the lesbians to some remote area in Antarctica. The first group of concieve a child naturally without the opposite sex involved is normal, and society should accept them with open arms.

Homosexual lifestyle is only wrong if you believe it is. There is no need to "quarantine" them, as homosexuality is not a disease. It is a lifestyle.

It is still a human right to do with your life as you please. There are no laws (and I pray we keep it so) that dictate who a human being may or may not love and cherish.

I have friends that are homosexual, and I think nothing less of them as humans than any other person I consider a friend. As long as they don't push their values on me, I am fine with their lifestyle.

Would you condemn your own father or brother to a life in solitude until he repented of the supposed sin he was committing? Would you lock away your own son until a "cure" was found for the "disease?"

Be mindful of the human equation.

I don't think quarantines would work cause I say homosexuality is not wrong but to answer the question of gilfinn... scientists are now able to make embryos out of two eggs, so in that case I suppose the lesbians would win.

it must bother you to no end because you you must see what turns gay people on. well, from us women, you don't turn us on

therefore, your lifestyle is wrong because you are too quick to judge other people without knowing them. and your lifestyle is wrong because you are an ignorant person and you need to be quarantined because you mind is polluted.

grow up a little why don't you

I don't think quarantining them would help. They have to realise for themselves being gay is not an alternative lifestyle. It is morally and spiritually wrong just like fornication, murder, stealing and all other sins in the commandments.

We need to quarantine them, drug them, hypnotize them and set em straight. They have sperm they can have kids like everyone else, why can't they act like everyone else. 100 years ago there were no fags, well maybe a small amount but they kept in the closet and that's how it should be. I'm not living in the past i know times change and im all for it, but now we're ******* with god's work and that's taking it to far.
