people fear the unknown. if we had proportional representation the three parties would no longer be dominant but no party would have a majority so it would mess up.
Thing is that the country is run as all countries are, by rich people. Donating money to a party is still a form of bribeary, u dont give money for nothing. Rich people run this world my friend, ur just cattle like the rest of us...

The Modern Democrats.
It's time for a radical change, the lumbering giants that were the Labour party and The Conservatives, are now nothing but professional politicians whose only major concern is re election. There has always been an element of that, but not to the degree there is now. They ignore the views of the people, and make laws to keep them quiet.

same element ought to happen to cricket also. you need to entice plenty and %. up the lads from between kids between 18 and 30 years of age. practice them and choose the crew. in case you do not do this, you'll save generating 'Gods', like we already have Sachin. and then lets have many temples. @ veer: What I meant develop into that a minimum of there is a few responsibility and responsibility once you're a political candidate. yet those cricketers haven't any responsibility and they are merely everyday alternatives for the awards of Bharat Ratna and so on. And quite Sachin is God!! And this cricket expertise is merely a lot of success. or perhaps even if that is genuine expertise, what the country is gaining out of it?

The Tories main problem, is that, whilst they have been out of office, 'New Labour', have moved the centre ground of politics way to the left. Under the banner of 'left', I include, feminism, PC brigade, racial police, sexism police, gay police, disabled police, womans right to choose abortion, health and safety police, you get my drift. It is worth adding that the TV media and educationalists have been indoctrinating the public with left wing dogma for years. So, in order to get a foot in the door at the next election, the Tories have to pretend to go along with all the nonsense I have listed above.
I liked the Independent Party but it was destroyed by the media, who would try to destroy any party that did not comply with its agenda.

What would you replace them with? I think the ideal form of government is probably a very wise and benevolent dictator. But the trouble with that is his/her son/daughter/successor might not necessarily be so benevolent!
