Usually people that appear in dreams reflect your own tendency's, it would be good to know what do you see in your family that you identifies with you, maybe if it is your father it could be protection, that I don't know you have to find out. then probably after knowing that, probably those tendency's are being threatened by what you think are evil forces, and you are trying to save them

Dreams are a sinful fantasy that our wild minds think up. They are not meaningful, and demons or angels do not slip things into our minds. That was only done in biblical times, and people who claim it happens to them nowadays are probably being influenced by the demons, but not controlled. I have dreams about saving my family from evil gangster thugs, and I always manage to find some shotgun or automatic hidden in some plant pot or something and start shooting back at them while im running lol. Ever had the peter pan one? Rediculous! Dreams can emotionally scare or amaze us, but they are only fictions of our wild imaginations. They only affect us so much because our minds are imperfect.

Nothing to be afraid of. Ive had dreams of WW3 before, and nuclear war. Probably going to happen, but its not a prophecy or anything.

Psychologists are on the fence of the exact meaning of dreams.

1.) It could be prophetic
2.) It could be an introduction of your subconscious values
3.) It could be random electrical particles firing off in your brain that are then interpreted in such a way that fits with the information that you've encountered in life
4.) There could have been something about such a situation that your brain was trying to sort out and discard.
5.) Your brain might have been trying to specifically remember some kind of information tied with the dream.

Nothing, it's just a dream, or it may be indicative of an underlying physcological need. I used to have dreams sometimes of saving people I knew from armed gunmen, and doing it Arnie-style with all guns blazing! Fun dreams to have.

If you have not seen any movie or tv lately, that could mean that you are fear or responsibilities.

You projected yourself in dream to save your family to make up what you cannot do in reality

It either means that you are burdened with feelings of responsibly for others or that malignant forces are being generated around you and that only you alone will stand a chance of saving them. I suggest just in case you stock up on wolfbane and crosses, holy water and batteries.
