Obnoxious vehicles driven by small minded people.

Some of their "arguments" here are laughable.

Mountain dwellers & off roaders maybe. The rest of you.....

WOW!!!

Someone hates SUV's. When I purchased mine I didn't feel like I was on a power trip. I wanted a 4 wheel drive so I could go off roading and have plenty of room for friends on road trip. Also people with SUV's can become great assest when a huge snow storm hits and nurses and doctors need rides to the hospital.

One should not judge a person or think they are on a power trip because they choose to own an SUV.

So there you little gay Rick Dawg you,

My Mothers S.U.V. (Honda CR-V) gets 22 MPG on the highway.
My full size pickup (Chevrolet Silverado) gets 21 MPG on the highway.
My Buddy's S.U.V. (Chevrolet Blazer) gets 20 MPG on the highway.

Now for the rest of it, I love to waste $hit. We are Americans and that is what we do. I love paying $3.00 per gallon on gas, my Stock portfolio is skyrocketing!!! Last year at this time I was filling up for $1.50 per gallon and now I love seeing that $3.00 at the pump... Of course I make enough money to waste, so maybe you should find a better paying job.

Also, while we are on the power trip topic, I don't think I bought my truck as a power trip issue, however it is great fun to run you little pansy, liberal F*CKERS off the road in your little cute Prius'. So while you can't get out of your own way, I will blow by you spewing raw gasoline out of the tailpipe all over your windshield and maybe even following that with a lit cigarette so that I can start a forest fire and burn your Fagoty rice burning a$$ to the point where you quit wasting my F*CKING oxygen!!!

Sleep well you little gay B*TCH!!!!!!!!!!

I agree for the most part. Many people do not need them. I suppose if you need the room, though, you have to get what will be practical. They are becomming a real issue when speaking about the environment, but most people have no idea about how much CO2 emissions there are with this type of vehicle. Also, I do not see a hybrid that is worth paying more for so that people will be willing to help save the environment. They are more money and from what I am reading, some of them are more dangerous.

I have an 2005 Chevy crew cab long bed with a 6.0 liter engine in it. After installing : K&N cold air intake, a throttle body spacer, removing the factory exhuast replacing it with a Gibson sport exhaust cat back and running ngk ridium plugs I get 22-23 mpg highway. Plus I have flexfuel system running ethenol fuel at a $1.98 per gallon. Your gas mileage can be increased..do your research to improve ur own

this is not a question

it is not a very inciteful statement

so, are SUV's more or less horrible than a greyhound bus? (greyhound busses get even less miles per gallon)

is an SUV that is driven only when necessary more or less horrible than a toyoto corrolla that is taken out cruising every night?

is an SUV more or less horrible than setting your thermostat of your house in the summer to 72 instead of 76?

clearly SUV's of themselves are not horrible
there is all kind of waste out there and it is ridiculous and ingenuous to pick on SUV owners

if they want to pay for the gasoline, let them
if you want to keep your house nice and cool, go for it
if I want to have a heated swimming pool, I will

if you are wasting energy resources in YOUR life, and I am sure you are, why don't you work on that, you have control of it, rather than whining at other people

Mine gets up to 28 mpg highway (Honda Element), probably actually 22-25, but that's more than 18. So poo on you.

In this wonderfull and free country that we live in IT'S NOT YOUR DECISION WHAT SOMEBODY DRIVES OR DOES NOT DRIVE.if you don't like suv's then don't buy one.But for those people who either NEED ONE OR THINK THEY NEED ONE it's their choice and as long as they can afford one and the expenses related to one then it's their choice.
