I had a tummy tuck and hip liposuction on July 11th, and I have had a great experience with it and I'm very happy with the results.

It is important to understand that a tummy tuck is NOT a method of weight loss...it helps remold your body. I had a twin pregnancy 3 years ago and my stomach was so over stretched that it lost it's elasticity, and I still looked pregnant! Even when I had gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I had people asking me when I was "due." It was very depressing to me.

Diet and exercise would NEVER have eliminated my sagging stomach...I was a perfect candidate for a full tummy tuck. I only had about 5 pounds total removed, but what a difference in the shape of my body! My clothes fit, I feel much more confident, and I now know that when I lose more weight, I won't look pregnant!

My advice is to go to a few plastic surgeons and talk to them. I had a wonderful experience, and if you want to contact me with more specific questions, please do so! (I think you can click on my avatar and there is a link to "contact me.")

UPDATE ON JULY31st:

I just read the guy's answer above me, and it's not that I don't believe him, but I think his wife must have had more than just a tummy tuck done because a tummy tuck actually has nothing to do with surgery on your stomach or any other organs! It is all ABOVE the muslce layer. There is absolutely no reason for your digestive system to be affected by a tummy tuck! I think she must of had some other issues not related to a tummy tuck.

Just wanted to let you know that....

My wife went thru two years of hell after a tummy tuck. Puking, trips to the ER, trying to figure out what foods and drinks she could handle. Even now she has trouble with most foods other than crackers and water. She misses drinking a whole drink, of anything. We never go out because she wont pay for a full meal when all she can eat is a cup full. But she had diabetes and high blood pressure so at least there was a reason for it other than "dieting"

My advice: unless your doctor says you HAVE to do it for your immeadiate health (not some future health skinner crap), avoid it. And even then get a second opinion.

Get tummy tuck surgery in India.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India.

my cousin got a couple of plastic surgery including tummy tuck after previous c sections procedures through the forerunners healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA.hope this helps. i strongly recommend you to check out this company as yours and my cousins history is very similar
