I had a terrible car accident when I was 18 and I had a minor heart attack at 21. No they didn't give a new outlook on life. I've never taken it for granted. You never know when your time is going to be up, so I have always done my best to live each and every day to it's fullest.

Yes. I got hit by a car. Suffered compound injury on my left leg, broken shoulder, and hit pretty hard on my head. At the age of 37 in January, 1988. If I haven't kept my health up by riding my bike to and from work every day for years. I would die.

yes several , if i were a cat i would be nearing the end of my nine lives.............just after the event every sense is hightened i,e, the grass seems greener ,the flowers smell nicer, the birds song louder, later on when you have time to think you might, like me realise life really is too short for some of the things that worry us so much. like, i am as nice as possible to people but i really dont care what they think about me i could be dead tomorrow.

No I have never had a near death experience had I perhaps I wouldnt be so terrified of dying. I think those that experience a near death experience take from it a sense of pure and utter peace. No fear anymore. They are truly blessed.

As a soldier who has unfortunately been involved in fire fights I have had several, but after a patrol that ended in a massive fire fight we were back in barracks when I found 2 holes in the loose part of my smock under the arm and 1 in my ammo pouch. Too bloody close if you ask me!
