Did I miss something or are there some rouge officials in the MLS choosing to taser players instead of giving out yellow cards?

I'm hoping all people speak to their Representative about the overuse of "Tasers" and get a very clear ruling when a Police Officer can use this very dangerous weapon.
In this small area I live in - less than 100,000 people, there have been two deaths due to taser use, just in this year alone.
I have written, emailed and talked to my local Rep and I surely hope all citizens do the same.
So this goes out to all people - please speak, email & write to a Civic, State or Federal Official to end the use of tasers by Police for every little encounter an officer might come upon in the everday activity of his or her dities.
Go for it people, it's in yours hands to stop this dangerous weapon from being used.

That happened to my friend at a club (fight) because a girl pointed him out on accident for wearing the same kindof shirt as another! The cops just stand out there waiting for something to go down. It made me feel better that he got a few hits in on the b****** while they tasered him numerous times for nothing! I agree the should not be able to use them so liberally. It is just their way of legalizing police brutality, if it's not one way it will be another, (depending on the cop)

There are many more precautions on this and the use of them than you seem to suggest - the lawsuit potential is heavy. I feel the policies are just about right, and the Taser is an excellent law enforcement invention.

Resisting arrest or assaulting an officer is not a small reason. I want tasers used on anyone who ignores the orders of an officer. That way all of us will be safer.

a small issue, can turn into a deadly issue in 2 seconds, cops cant read peoples minds, and if they feel threatened or feel that the public is in danger... then they have no choice. People do not respect law enforcement as they used to. I know there are some corrupt cops, but the majority are there to uphold the law.

There's a lot about our government that I don't agree with, in fact most of it I don't. This is one of them. Were you recently tased? :-) I'm just kidding, but you're right. There are lots and lots of ways to rationally handle most situations that end up violent and cruel.

Most Americans are too complacent to try and change ANYTHING about this country and it's laws.
When will YOU try to change these regulations and what will YOU do to try and change them?
I know that's answering a question with a question, but that's the only way anything changes....if someone does something different.
If we always do what we've always done then we'll always get what we've always gotten.
