no..i think it has more to do with the manager..you see in those season..why is real Madrid keep changing their manager..those manager who has come has brought great player into the team but not suitable player and even when they did,they didn't make full use of them as in by using a tactics that will be more appropriate to the team they has but i guess Capello will be able to turn everything over..He is a guy who know exactly who his team should play and the way they should play..in the history of his career,he has lead most of the team to their league victory..Let just hope that they win the championship of Spain and also the Champion league..it has been long since they lifted that cup..and it sure nice to see them lifting it up again..btw,anyone know who is Madrid new captain since zidance had left?

Hardly, consider all the great players at Real, then consider Ruud. He doesn't come close to most of them. If it happens they play to his strengths then it may work, but otherwise not.

I think they will definitely be better this year, but not just with Nistelrooy. They probably realized how bad they did last year, and they'd like to improve themselves, so that will be their encouragement. Nistelrooy and Emreson will add to their "fury."

if we disregard the past then real madrid can do better
bcoz good players after going to madrid lose their form dont know why
eg beckham, ronaldo etc

van Nistlerooy makes them no better. They had too many strikers to begin with. Defense is the problem for them.
