I have a Dell AIO Printer A960, everytime i turn it on it starts up like its printing something without grabbing the paper(there is paper) and then it says it has a paper jam. I checked the printer and it does not have a paper jam. Then my dad said it could be something like the USB is not detecting the cp...?? I dont know what to do..
Any suggestions?Thanks alot!

You have a paper misfeeding problem. The pickup roller could dusty or lost its stickiness. You may need a new pickup roller. What happens is that if the paper does not cover a sensor in the paper path within a certian amount of time the printer controller thinks that there is a paper jam. Try removing all the paper from the paper tray and feeding in only a single fresh sheet. If that fails then try filling the paper tray completely with fresh paper. Fresh paper is from an new ream of paper. Paper can absorbe water and grease and oils in the air and swell up and cause jamming and misfeeds.

Try taking out the cartridge and replacing it. Also check your paper. If it has even the slightest curl to it, the printer can't feed it properly. (don't ever "reuse" paper, the curl on it can cause a jam)

Best of luck!

I would think it's because the printer was exposed to too much dirt ....the best suggestion i think is to see a computer hardware specialists or get a new printer asap!

Our printer and copier both say that when they are set up for the wrong paper (standard vs legal).
