Depends where you live. What do I think would be a nice sporty car for a 17 year old that you can get/not pay through the roof on insurance for is a completly different question - you'll find a small car will serve you a lot better.

In realistic cars, From a looks angle the Pergeot 207 is quite nice, however they break down a lot, and have a history of bad service. Personally, I have a Toyota Aygo - and would throughly recommend it.

None really...imagine the insurance...plus a 17 year should drive a vehicle that can't go over 50...trust me...after that claims i have worked on with young drivers and sporty cars...forget about...settle with a ford focus...

Look on craigslist, depending were you are look in the fargo moorhead area if you can get here, there are alot of sick cars, also the older honda civics like 1990s you can customize them to whatever you like, also if you can get a good running one for like 2 grand, take another 2 or 3 grand and put it into the engine and tires and body kit, im a BIG fan of the older civics because you CAN do alot with them

At 17yrs old...... about the only thing that fits' that description, and has non-scary Insurance & Running costs would be a classic MINI (not the current BMW thing).

Or if available where-ever you are....... the Toyota Aygo / Citroen C1 / Peugeot 107

17 yr olds don't need nice sporty cars. Hopefully your parents aren't dumb enough to buy you one. Teenagers need good safe cars---like older oldsmobile & pontiacs.

Honda civic crx,Nissan sentra se-r,Hyundai accent gt,Chevrolet cobalt SS,Dodge neon sr-t and anything scion, are all good choices and for the most part reasonably priced, the big questions are what will your parents let you get and how much would the insurance be one against another.
