I assume you're referring to bartenders. Your earnings can be pretty good in the cities, but quite low in rural areas. You need to work in a crowded bar to really make the tips. If you don't mind the smoke, noise, and the occasional drunk, you might find you like it. Keep in mind the hours are long and you work late into the nights... not the job really for one trying to raise a family.
