I have a 94 lincoln mark 8 and i want to convert the stock headlights to the bright HID ones. Someone told me that i would have to replace the light housiing, but i have a friend with a motorcycle that didnt need to do nythig. the HID lights are basically plug and go. But what about the high temp. arent there any ones out there that don;t burn as hot??

you consider xenon head lights?
anyways, yes, you can convert them, you can convert pretty much anything on your car, it just depends on the amount of work you put into it and the level of hardness. Shouldn't be that hard though.

Make sure the wattage is the same, or you could fry the wires leading to the light

Check out your parts store. They can- will show you the right bulb to up grade with.
