I am looking for a place to make a website with no or few pop-ups. Some places I've tried are just crazy with pop-ups!

try your ISP; some have a free web hosting service (somewhat limited functionality) but they may have what you are looking for. go to your account and see what's avail.

blogspot.com is what i use :) also there is freewebs.com but it has more pop-ups.
