While I think you shouldn't use the word retarded as a derogatory, I have to agree with your overall sentiment.
Every time those commercials come on, I have to fight the urge to throw a brick at the television.
Clearly, their commercial is designed to be repetitive enough for people to remember their product, but it's annoyed me enough that I refuse to ever buy it.

I have a promise from all of my family and extended family members NOT to buy that product because of that stupid, repetitive, loud, annoying commercial. Maybe if we all put them on a 'don't buy' list, they won't exist long enough to keep putting those commercials on.

Yes. I was telling someone that today, then when i got home, i saw an add for nightly news...they are gonna tell some kind of story about it....about how that commercial is so effective!
