A URL is a uniform resource locator. I believe it's called that because when you type in yahoo.com for instance, that url locates where the files for yahoo.com are and allow you to access them.

url= universal (uniform) resource locator; gives a specific location on the net to find a page that falls within the dns (domain name system). you need to know a little about this html business to get it right (unless they walk you thru it.

If you do that, you can create a shortcut for your myspace, so instead of your address being myspace.com/(friendidnumber), it will be myspace.com/whateveryouchoosetobehere
