It actually blocks something in the pleasure section of you brain and screws it up. Smoking is bad for you, there are no benefits to smoking.

There is nothing good about smoking, sorry but you can sit and meditate and produce pleasure chemicals that improves your deep thinking for a lot of time, I believe the human mind is capable of intense goals, after all the fastest man on the earth did not come from the generation of fast men. It was the man who made himself do it because he believed he can.
Cheers,

I've heard that too.
It's not worth the negative effects of the cigarette, though. Cigarettes are a horrible drug delivery system. Any other product with its fire safety track record would be subject to a recall.

yes. smoking relaxes a person (nicotine is an agent that works on the nervous system) relaxation produces endorphins. endorphins cause pleasure. deep thinking is more productive when you are pleased as opposed to stressed.

If your thinking that cigarettes might help you with something then your wrong, there is nothing good about them. One moment of pleasure is a lifetime of sorrow.

I read this (your info) somewhere - but the article said the 'boost' only lasted about 7 minutes -
within 20 minutes, the cravings begin for another shot of nicotine.

David's entry (7 below mine) is correct . . . whether the obviously biased 'non-smokers' answering your question want to believe this truth, or not.

Agreed -
NOT smoking is better for ones health, than smoking. . . but then -
NOT doing a lot of things we humans do, is better for our health, than choosing to do 'them'.
NOT being biased and judgmental - is better for EVERYones health.
LIVING and LETTING LIVE is better for EVERYones health.

Maybe so, maybe not... But would you rather have cancer just for 15 minutes of "deep thinking"?

Yes, that is a well documented, but unpublished fact the FDA doesn't want you to know about. Smoking is REALLY REALLY good for you.
