Gosh I always have that same question too!
The told me to leave it blank because it would always be discussed at the interview.
I know that you're a smart guy and that you know that filling out the form very neatly is more important than what you put down.

negotiable. That way you find out what they are willing to pay. If you write in a figure that is too high they won't consider you, if you write in a low figure they will jump on it and you won't know what it is worth. I would have a conversation in the interview and try to find out what the maximum is you can get.

If your applying for a job you have a degree or skill or some type of back ground with that job. Put down what your worth. They will ask you why you think your worth that much a hr and you can say I know that job and damn good at it. Then ask if you can prove it and if their not happy -------- see ya or cut your pay
Good luck

Figure out your bills each month. That is usually what they are asking for. You tell them how much you need and then if they can not pay you that much, you will know you cannot take that job due to your own finances.

I have put 'negotiable'. If you put to much, they think your over qualified - to little and your screwing yourself. If they call you for an interview, do some research first.

Write "Negotiable". That's the proper thing to do.

"neg"

its short for negationable, if you say to low, you'll stiff you, and if you say to high, they won't hire you because they think you will leave to fast for a better paying job
