I have done it for as far back as I can remember, trying to prise the entire meaning from them. What about yourself?

Wow!! I do the same thing. For as long as I can remember I've gone over words that were said in a simple conversation over and over and over. I don't know what that means. Even books that I've read. It doesn't even have to be a book. Something as simple as a short passage. It's neat to know of someone else that does that.

If I like a book, like the Godfather by Mario P. The Agenda on Clinton first term in office, Count of Mont Cristo etc... I do read them two times. The same on other matters, I always take my time to reflect on every issue before taking final decision. Two times.

I read about 2 novels a day and can tell you pretty much which line came from which book. Its obvious to love words analyzing their meaning is a great way of showing you enjoyed what you read and the author has grabbed your attention

I also replay events and conversations over and over in my mind, many times it keeps me awake at night. I think it is because I wonder how differently I could have dealt with the situations. I tend to be over critical of myself sometimes that may be a contributing fact. Many times I find that when I let a thought go it is usually solved in my unconscious mind and revealed to me at a later date. I think that over analyzing anything clouds my judgment and keeps the usually obvious answer from me. Just try to quiet your mind and let it come to you, whatever it is.

I usually do that about 2 or 3 times thinking about the origin of the word, or "did I say that?"

yes sometimes i can see words that people have said, or i think that the words look strange. Maybe u should do english language or something, or ur just clever!
