Its the middle of the freakin season...all the teams switch what place they're in...Look at the White Sox they were doing great now they're in a slump...That dosen't mean they won't do great again...And not too long ago the Yankees were in 1st...You are making no sense.

I am a Red Sox fan, and I hate the Yankees for the reason that that's facet of the deal. Still, if I had been sincere with myself, I hate groups just like the Rays and Phillies much more. Not for the reason that they met within the World Series, however for the reason that they do not realize their position. The Red Sox and Yankees (along side groups just like the Dodgers) are the category of the Major Leagues. I hate whilst Phillies and Rays enthusiasts act like they're at the identical stage. It is like 10,000 losses or nine directly final position finishes do not depend whilst they've one triumphant 12 months. By the way in which, they did not beat totally functioning groups from the Red Sox and Yankees. Let's look at your points here....
1. Yes you have Johnny Damon... Whee! he'll be good this year and next but what will you do in 2008 and 2009 when he can't play anymore???

2. Why do they suck so bad??? I'm sorry, but who's won a title most recently??? Which team has the better farm system??? And oh yeah, who's in 1st place in the AL East right now??? Which team has 5 good pitchers 25 yo or younger??? I know facts get in the way of a perfectly good rant but....

3. Manny or Melky??? I'll take Manny's "Mannyisms" with his 40+HR's and 100+ RBI's yearly.

4. You want to compare looks of starting pitchers.... How about the Klingon, Randy Johnson. Or maybe lip gloss wearer A-Rod.

5. Cranky??? You do know that George Steinbrenner owns the Yankees right???

I do have lots of respect for the Yankees over the last 100 years and for guys like Rivera, Jeter, O'Neil, Tino, and Posada, but it's only respect, I don't have to like 'em.

Please make a valid point here... Maybe I'm just missing something.

Ok first of all, I'm a Sox fan, but don't call Damon a traitor. He was a great player who helped us win, and when he was offered more money, he took it. I would have taken an extra $4 million too. And Manny isn't a great fielder, but just look at his batting numbers. Way better than A-Rod's. For a lower salary too. And finally, who's in first place? That's what I thought.

1) Ummmm.... who's in first again?

2) Because he uses too much energy crushing more home runs than a-rod (Even at that, Manny still fields better than a-rod).

3) Who cares??? He's 5-0 with a 3.04 era. His era is better than ANY Yankee starter.

4) Once again, who cares??? He is having an allstar-worthy comeback season. And didn't the red sox get him as a throw-in with beckett, another 13-game winner, if i recall? He's batting better than a-rod in avg. Lowell also has more hits, more than twice as many doubles, all in fewer at bats and games played. Oh yeah, and a-rod has 2.5x as many K's as Lowell. A-rod has 18 errors and a fielding percentage of .931%. Lowell has 4 errors with a fielding pct. of .986. And isn't a-rod getting paid 3x as much? Red Sox>Yankees

im a texas rangers fan and when the rangers actually the made the playoffs a few times. the yankees beat them every time. i dont like the yankees but its hard not to respect them. their a first class organization that cares about winning and tradition. so they have a high payroll, who cares. they put a winning team on the field year in and year out. every other team can spend the money as well but they choose to keep it for themselves and thats why they dont have the tradition the yankees do.

Even though us Yankees are only 1 game and a half behind the Red Sux......oops, "sox," we're going to come back and kick Boston out of 1st place and we'll take total control over it!!!!
