A store in the mall left a plastic security device on my shirt. How do I remove it? It's not an ink tag.

Take it back to the store WITH your receipt.

This is a security device that should make your
shirt unwearable until you have paid for it.

However, sometimes you pay for it and they forget
to remove it. You go back to the store (with the
shirt *AND* the receipt) and they should remove it
for you.

I have never ever ever seen anyone successfully
remove one without the proper equipment. If you
try to open it without the proper equipment, a bulb
of ink inside the device will leak all over the shirt
making it obvious that it was stolen.

Take it back to the store along with the reciept. You cannot remove the tag at home without damaging the shirt.

IF you have a receipt, they might think that you bought one, then stole one, and ask them to remove this tag. Without any receipt, forget going back.

I don't know how that got through a detector.
This could prove embarrassing, if it is an error, in any event.

Sorry my mind goes there. I was in management at Dept. Store, for many years. Saw many things.

Those take special tools. If this is all on the up and up, I don't know the answer.

Would take a lot of faith in your word.

I would try using wire cutters. If you do damage the shirt, just take it back with the receipt and the tags still attached and tell them it was like that when you brought it. Good luck.

I'd go to the store and steal one of their removers; they won't have that tagged.

go back and have them remove it. once that happened to me at JC Pennys and when i brought it back to get it removed, the manager was so sorry that she gave me a $5 gift card.
