Run these:

1. Firefox, it's faster, blocks pop-ins/pop-ups!!!
2. AVG by Grisoft, 'trial' is FREE forever, to individuals.
3. Crap Cleaner, for the registry, to kill orphans.
4. Memory leaks? IE is the WORST!!! Get Firefox (#1)! http://www.crockford.com/javascript/memory/leak.html

5. spybot S&D find it on google.com and don't get sidetracked by the fakes!

6. Get adaware by Lavasoft with the above caveat, there are a lot of mean idiots out there who want you to pay them for FREE stuff!
7.Shootthemessenger lets you shut a HUGE leak!!!

EVERYTHING listed is FREE and the very BEST!

OR, try the pclinuxos that runs in the liveCDrom!!! With 5,000 FREE games, programs!

Depends on what sort of computer your running, pentuim2,3,4 ect, or are you using dial up or broadband? Broadband is much quicker as you know! Maybe you have a computer visus!? You can download www.avg free edition.com, it's excellent and all you have to do is update it now and then! Also as others said delete your cookies & any other stuff which is not been used!

Have you deleted cookies, files and history? Have you run anti-virus and anti-spy ware programs? These are the things my techno-bro told me to do to keep the pc from slowing down.

Your computer might have a virus or may be infected with spyware. You should get antispyware and a virus scan. I used McAfee.

one of your problems could be that you have dial up internet which is very slow.

or you may have low memory/processor speed

one way to fix that is to buy an upgrade.
another is to close out all of the programs you dont use.

It depends. Do you have dial up? If so that's your problem. If you have roadrunner or something like that then it's probably your computer.

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe (FREEWARE) at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!
