Do you need a work permit? I think you might and you can get one of those through school. Apply at Starbucks, a tanning salon, or the grocery store. I see younger kids working at those places all the time. Also, what about babysitting? That could generate some extra cash for you and be beneficial to your own child.

Well depends on what state you live in. I suggest you google your state laws about employing the youth and about work permits. Most state laws will state that you can get a job and later get a work permit from your school or district. Just go job searching like any other adult would do.
