If my 14 year old asked to go to the mall and I said yes and dropped him off there and said that he was to meet me back at the door in 2 hours, I just gave my "implied" consent for him to shop, walk, eat etc at the mall.

Implied consent refers to someone "assuming" you can or have permission to do it. "Implied" means invisible...

Note: Concerned is right, like others have noted here. If you are talking the "legal" term "implied consent". "implied consent" can also mean just plain ole "invisible, assumed, consent" ...also.

let's suppose you are riding your bike and get hit by a car and knocked out.

You are taken to teh hospital and because you haev no ID on you, they do not know who you are or who to call to get consent to treat you....

So, they will treat you right away anyway, based on the assumption that if you or your family could give consent, they would. This is implied consent.

If, when you come around or your family shows up and can prove they are who they say they are, they say STOP TREATMENT, then the consent is revoked and treatment has to stop.

ALWAYS CARRY ID.

the answer that about the parent gave about her son is what it is your parent allows you to do something
or your Bose said yes you can take the afternoon of they are forms of applied consent now I am not sure what you are pertaining to. if you give a person the rights tho make love to you that is also applied consent but if you are a miner and he is older or the same age but not of age then you will not be under the act of applied consent in a Court of law if your parent decided to press charges for you are still under there care but if you are 18 and this happened then it is applied consent

implied consent is the consent it is presumed a patient or patient's parent or guardian would give if they could, such as for an unconscious patient or a parent who cannot be contacted when care is needed
