In case you don't know, St. Louis recently had some major storms which caused a massive power outage. So massive, that after a week, many houses are still out of power. Your friend, Al Sharpton, made a trip to St. Louis, and made a protest to the Federal Government asking the Government to provide food for people who's food had gone bad because of the power outage (he claimed White people had power, while Blacks were being segregted).

My question is this: how stupid are you people? If you have food in the fridge/freezer that could go bad, why didn't you do something about it? Cook it, go to a friends house who had power, put on ice in a cooler, do something other than protest!

Why should the Government waste tax payers money on your stupid negligence?

My guess is Democrats and other Liberals are too stupid to figure that they have just as much capability to solve their own problems instead of asking someone else to do it. What say you?

coltsfan, I think it is you who are the douche because 1) you are a colts fan and 2) tax dollars shouldn't go towards people who actually need the help, not towards people who are too stupid to take care of themselves.

And I am not calling them stupid because they are poor; I'm calling them stupid because they didn't know how to take care of the food themselves without letting it go to waste. If the power is out, move it somewhere where it won't go bad. If the power is still out, get rid of it by consuming it. If the power is out, buy non-perishable stuff.

Its easy for people who are not involved to that. If you were there you might realise the reason for this is because people don't have power to freeze food or to cook it. Some people are injured and are therefore incapable, other people have suffered such bad damage to their houses that the equipment they would use to cook food has been destroyed.

Also in cases of bad storms of earthquakes its advised not to use gas until its been checked as this is the cause for a lot of injuries and deaths.

so... if you did that stuff with the food... then it would last for maybe a day or two... then what?

if you've ever been poor... you know that people count on that food to make it through... and they may have a few weeks worth or more saved up...

put you clearly have no idea what being poor is...

why is it that every time someone calls someone else stupid... the person that is calling others that seems to always be the stupidest person in the room?

By what quirky logic do you presume that Sharpton, a black agitator, speaks for all democrats and or liberals?

you are right, why should we use money on things that help people. shouldnt we waste it all on pointless wars in the middle east.

btw, you're a douche.

so if i understand you right, you dont think we should have done anything about hurricane katrina either. because these people could have swam to someone who wasnt flooded. they could have helped themselves, right?

Just because Al Sharpton is an idiot, it doesn't mean Bush isn't.
