Depends how pretty is is but a nice blue cherenkov glow would help both with power production and general beauty.

Personally I think could fusion is over rated. Its a phrase that has been used by the media to see newspapers and such. The so called advantage of cold fusion is that it could produce an almost endless supply of energy. The problem is that with all cold fusion claims, the supposed energy created was so small that it is within the experimental error of the apparatus. If it can't create enough energy to be measured, then how do you power a city with that energy?

On the other hand normal thermonuclear "hot" fusion uses the same fuel and produces the same energy and thus will provide the near endless supply of energy. It has the added advantage of being a proven technology. We know how to make it work, all that's basically left is to optimize the engineering and make it economically competitive.

A picture would be worthless. How would you know it was of cold fusion anyway? Cold fusion would allow you to retire the day after you proved it.

Nothing without a logical process and scientific proof explaining it. Nuclear fusion is kind of difficult to create at room temperature.

A pair of researchers claimed that they had produced it about 10yrs ago ... they were never seen again.

Personally i think it exists, but think what would happen if governments said we had unlimited safe power forever .... the worlds economies would be in melt down, the collapse of all power/oil companies.

Not much if you can't back it up with a theory.
