Morton Salt- Sprinkle salt on carpets, let sit for at least three hours or longer, and vacuum thoroughly. This worked great for me.

Dawn Dish-washing Liquid- to kill fleas in carpeting pour 1 table spoon of Dawn into 16 oz spray bottle, fill rest of bottle with water and spray the carpets, upholstery and floors. the soap dries up the insects killing them almost instantly. after 15 min. wipe floors with damp cloth ( or mop) and vacuum the carpets.

Lysol- Spray the carpet and upholstery with Lysol disinfectant spray. the antiseptic kills fleas. repeat the following day to kill any newly hatched eggs.

All these methods work, I have used them all at different times. I personally like the salt method best. I looked for remedies that would not harm children when my daughter was very young, and I continue to use them today. I hope this helps you.

wash the carpet and sweep it wash down the walls if u get ffleas they are easy to get rid of
they are easier to get rid of more on humans then in a room
next time you have kittens make a boxed in area so the kittens can't g any place more than the boxed in are that way its less likely for the fleas to spread
you also may want to give the kittens treatment just incase they still have fleas unless you've already checked them(it still safer to do medicine even if you didn't see any fleas
if they are still on the kittens go to a vet. and get them treated

good luck!

i would take the kittens out of that room and buy a flea medicine 4 them...there are many places to get it and it won't hurt the animals...do another bomb in that room...this should kill all fleas on the kittens and in the house!

OK first read the flea dip label if its OK dunk they're butts... don't drown them plz.
then move them to another room sprinkle "borax" in the laundry isle (like you were using carpet powder) leave it and lock the room 1 day, then vacuum it up
now that the house is treated sprinkle it around out side next to openings (doors).
and if you really hate fleas plant crape merdel in rows out lining your yard (they don't like that plant at all) if your on a budget buy one crape merdel and when you buy it ask the nursery dude how to cut and root them!!!

for every gallon of water add a quarter of a bottle of rubbing alcohol and 1/4 of a cup of joy non-ultra soap. then mop the floor . this is also safe to wash the cats in to kill their fleas. you may also try putting the a smaller amount of the alcohol and joy soap in a casserole dish and leave it in the floor. the fleas will jump in it. also putting seven dust on the floor then vacuuming it up will work

I believe that you can use Advantage flea medication on kittens 8 weeks and older. I used that on my kittens and it really worked.

Also, I do not let my cat outdoors at all. They get fleas, hunt animals that could be diseased, and get into potentially dangerous areas when they are outside.

you need to put advantage on the cats so they don't continue to bring them in. get all of the pillows and bedding and put them in black trash bags in the sun for a whole day so it kills the fleas and the eggs. vacuum the carpet really well and the furniture and then bomb again

ignore the freaks who are going nuts about the cats being outside, my cat actually prefers it they are nuts

You can buy boric acid at any pharmacy. Sprinkle it throughout the house. No vacuuming necessary. Repeat in about 1 week. Do this for about 3 weeks. Really works! I did it!

So the place I stay, too lots threat. i'm surely debating on shifting the feral colony to a extra proper region. even with the undeniable fact that, as quickly as I lived with my mom and dad, they stay to tell the tale a farm way out interior the path of no the place. sluggish site visitors, a lot of trees. now and returned a unfastened canines shows up, yet there are such multiple trees the cats do no longer could run far to arise one. My cats have been indoor/exterior there. I even have 2 female cats, the two ferals, residing there good now surely. Cats love the exterior. such multiple issues shifting around. on a similar time as human beings can attempt to make indoor existence merely as exciting, we gained't and that i be attentive to i've got faith ill being cooped up interior the homestead too long, so I continually experience in charge while my boys basically have an open window to sit down down at. i attempt to make the time to take them out on leashes. yet returned, if i exchange into in a safer section, I ouldn' hesitate to enable them to out.

i heard if you put vinegar in a dish and put it on the floor, the fleas will be attracted to that and will jump in and die.
