ANY TIME AFTER BIRTH. THEY CAN SWIM AT BIRTH,
THATS WHY WATER BIRTS ARE SO POPULAR. MAKE SURE A PARENT IS WITH THE BABY WHEN THEY ARE IN THE WATER OR WHO KNOWS HOW TO SWIM. MY 2 YEAR OLD GREAT NEPHEW DON'T CARE IF HE KNOWS HOW TO SWIN OR NOT HIS MOMMA,DADDY,AND OLDER BROTHER KNOW HOW TO SWIM BUT HE DON'T AND DOSEN'T CARE IF HE LEARNS HOW OR NOT. BUT HE'LL JUMP OFF THE TOP SEP OF THE LADDER ON THE POOL THEY HAVE AT HOME AND COMES UP FOR AIR AND WILL DO IT AGAIN. OVER AND OVER HE THINKS ITS FUNNY. SO IT'S IMPORTANT THAT SOME ONE KNOWS HOW TO SWIN WHEN THEY HAVE THE BABY IN THE POOL

As soon as he can crawl is the easiest time to teach a baby to swim, good luck and be careful, (or should I say as soon as he can understand to copy the instructor as far as paddling and kicking is concerned)

You can start swiming classes for babies and infants but need to go into the pool with your child. It varies on parents. Some start with babies at 6 months of age but usually when they are one year old.I started with my dauther when she was one and by the age of three years old they start to swim independently and by them selfs with their teacher. This was the best time because now am dry and can watch her swim. She loves it and soon I would need to start swiming lessons with my son.Hope you will have fun and its defenitely the good thing to teach them how to swim its livesaving

its really hard to determine when can a baby start to swim but I always heard is earliest possible coz they can easily grasp and learn easily and would make them not afraid of the water.. start with a tub and ease the baby to a pool once you see he/she isnt scared of the water anymore.

as soon as they are born. My dad put my twin and I in the pool after we were born- a few days after- and we swam like tadpoles he told me. Not sure if he's lying... lol
