ok so i had an ipod mini...then it got stolen...
so i started using my mom's ipod mini..
iplugged it into the computer...went into itunes on it...got the song that i wanted to be on it..
then i hit "update ipod"
but...when i clicked it.. this popped up "this ipod already has songs in it..do you want to replace all songs with the songs in your library"?...so i hit no...but when i hit no..they wouldn't let me upload my songs nto her ipod...so i went to "udpdate ipod" again...and this time i clicked yes...but now allllll her songs are gone...i was wondering...is there a way to have her songs and my songs at the same time? and is there a way i can restore her songs?

Unless the number of songs combined are too large to fit in your ipod memory probably not. If that is not the case you can label two playlists in itunes and make one for your mom and yourself. Then all you have to do is pick either playlist on the ipod. I am afraid those lost songs are not recoverable.

No. but what you can do is to put the i pod cd in the cpu and install the i pod again to one computer. After that plug the i pod into the computer and follow the instructions. Next, what you can do is if u have to decide you and your mom in which computer are you going to plug the i pod in. Then, open itunes to update ur i pod and put her songs and urs too. when i pod is completed click the eject button on itunes and carefully unplug it. There you have ur i pod back to where it was b4 u plugged it and erased her song and urs.
*Reminder: you should never plug an i pod into another computer bcuz it will erase all of ur songs in there.
-Good Luck =)

Girl don't stress yourself

just remove the program from your computer then reinstall it then start from the beginning like you just bought the mini -ipod--

The music is still on the computer right?

Sorry cannot help you out there...but you can do one thing...if there are a lot of songs there...then you'll have to download them again one by one...if there are less songs then it will be easy for you to download those...one more thing...make two folder in that iPod mini...one for yourself and another for your mom...put your songs in your folder and put her songs in hers...ok??...
