I was born and raised in Texas and your stereotypes are far from the truth honey. I suppose you think there are tumbleweeds blowing in the wind, we all ride around on horses, and that we all say things like howdy and get er done. Texas happens to be a great place to live and the people happen to be very friendly and well educated. Hold on a sec there little lady, let me grab my coffee can real quick so I can spit my chewin tobaccy.......OK that's better. That was sarcasm BTW. In case you were unaware, we have a slogan around these here parts and it goes a little somethin' like this....Don't Mess With Texas! I've been to many states and I would never live anywhere but Texas. So to answer your cute little question, why don't you take a little trip to The Lone Star State and find out what it's really like. Last I checked, we were all normal human beings living normal lives like everyone else.

Do the people there still have big Texas hair? There are stereotypes for every state. Some are true and a lot aren't.

i live in knoxville tennessee. i think tx is flat. my boyfriend made a joke saying that if i laid down on the road, he would see the only mountians in tx. i've been there and it's just like any other place, depends on where you go. i do think there are a lot more rednecks and cowboys out there then here.

no I think of rednecks when I hear WV

Texas makes me think of friendly, charismatic people, cowboy hats, cattle, petite pretty women, the biggest state fair in the country, BBQ....to name a few. And I'm from NY

It's impossible to classify an entire group of people based on the state they live in. it would be stereotyping.
