It's a sneaky attempt to get Genesis taught in public schools.

I always assumed intelligent design was just evolution but with an intelligent force behind it. With the complexity that even simple organisms have and the delicacy of ecosystems and living things in balance it seems more credible that there is someone guiding evolution than everything just happened randomly. However, some people are taking intelligent design to mean something like the story of Genesis literally happened and I don't believe in that. I believe in the pond-scum and up scenario, just with an intelligent driving force behind it.

I agree--Bush looks like a chimp. Intelligent design is trying to make the jump from science to religion. It admits that evolution occurred, but claims the reason it occurred was because God was guiding it. They want that to be taught in school as science, even though there's no scientific proof at all as to why evolution occurred--that's purely a religious opinion.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Provocative language doesn't win arguments.
