The house is a two story with a spacious attic that can be turned into a room. The landlord acts like she should be able to come in and use that room anytime she wants. She has even put a lock on the door and lock some of my personal belongings in that room.

Unless there is an agreement in the lease that your landlord can use the attic, she is wrong. She is renting out the whole house, not just a portion of it.

Was any of this on the contract? I doubt it! It sounds as if she has her cake and wants to eat it too, and you mention that you have property belong to yourself in that room too which is locked!? No way, if it's not on the contract she's taken libertys!
