Fight Club
I really can't without spoiling a major theme of the movie.
He (Norton) begins by being addicted to Support Groups, meets Marla who is also following the same hobby. His insomnia (which going to the groups had cured) comes back. HE BEGINS TO GO CRAZY.
Meets 'Tyler Durden' on the plane flight. Apartment burns down.
he moves in with 'Tyler' and they start the fight club when he asks to be hit outside a bar.
'Tyler' grows an urban army, a kind of terrorist group aimed at the man. He wants to destroy major corporations and cause general havok.
SPOILER FOLLOWS:
'Tyler' may or may not really exist, he may or may not be part of the main characters split personality disorder.
Maybe, when Norton's character was sleeping, he was actually still awake and acting as 'Tyler Durden'. Maybe the insomnia hadn't actually gone away.

Fight Club was about a guy ( Edward Norton) that had a boring job until he 'met' Brad Pitt, an angry guy that started a fight club, and wanted to form an international organization of men and go global and help destroy ' the man' or 'big business', turns out the Brad Pitt character was actually Edward Norton's alter ego..kinda like a pretend friend in his head. That's why Norton shot himself in the head trying to stop the bombing of the buildings near the end.
