it looks like it has a a stinger, it is about 1 inch long and it is aggressive

Not really enough information -- is it a beetle, a wasp (waist & wings), fly, bee? Are the stripes vertical, horizontal? I'm thinking it may be a cicada killer -- very agressive wasp. Check the link below -- is this what it looks like? Check second link below for more information. Good luck!!
