Well, since I have no idea what you want to do, it's hard to answer. But if you want to be successful in entertainment, you will need to move to either NY or LA, unless you are in a band. If it's acting and specifically film, you will eventually need to go to Los Angeles. If you are a musician, you can become part of a smaller local scene and break out from that.

This is if you are in the US.

Creative fields require a lot of struggle and usually relocation to a large city. There is no guarantee that you will be famous no matter where you are or what you do, but moving to Los Angeles will put you on the track for it - after that it's all up to hard work and extreme good luck.

No, Cody Linley lives in Lewisville, TX and he is still famous and Josh Hutcherson lives in Union, KY and he's still famous. You don't HAVE to live in California just to be famous.

no plenty of famous people are starting out in other big states with big cities like Atlanta, georgia or Manhattan, New York
