I goat tie and I don't find it cruel because it doesn't technically hurt the goat even though they sometimes cry. I know my parents hate that I do it because they think it's cruel.

I'm talking about the goat tying event in rodeos. You run down jump off your horse, flank the goat, and tie 3 of it's legs 2 gether with a goat string, it's like a small rope. The goats are only tied for about 5 seconds.

I don't think it's cruel. The goat may think you are hurting it, but it really does not hurt them at all, and as you said they are only tied for a few seconds. I raise goats and I know they are tough little animals and having their feet tied for a few seconds wouldn't hurt anything more than their pride. Almost all animals (and most people, too!) have to do things that they would rather not do at some point in their life. There is a big difference between cruelty and just something that the goat would rather not have to tolerate.

Best thing for a goat is release and go find after your activities. It does not seem wise to make a smart animal wait on you like that. Goats will provide more milk if you help them feel relaxed and loved. Give them some candy too, please.

goats are naturally destructive animals and if you don't want ur goat into everything what other choice do you have
