Have you ever known the government of doing anything that makes sense. In the beginning of our country Federalist where against Federalism and Anti-Federalist where for Federalism. The government control of public schools was started in 1950. Before 1950, all schools where privately operated. Before 1950, the United States led the world in student I.Q. Now over fifty years later, the United States ranks like 21 or 22 in the world. Also, the United States is still under a state of emergency which we went under after the Pearl Harbor bombings. Most anything and everything the government does, as history has proved, doesn't make sense.

If you really research the laws of the land... you would find that EVERY law that is not stated in the constitution has an expiration date.
Great Photo ops guaranteed for the future generations!
To change the *temporary*-ness of the laws it would have to be an amendment to the constitution.
Like that will happen anytime soon. HAHA

I'm sure Bush would have made it a permanent law, as any passed President's would, but sometimes it not always totally up to them. There are other factors that play into it, hopefully one day it will become a permanent law.

Your right, it should be a permanent amendment to the constitution, not a temporary thing... this just shows Bush doesn't want minorities to vote.

Sounds like repression and racism to me. It should just be made permanent, though.
