A slang term for a moderate Conservative, now used by Democrats to connect nazism to the party.

Neo (new)
NeoCon= new conservative
NeoNazi= new Nazi
Nazi=Con

I don't get it either but that is their logic.

Liberals (aka marxists) love to call conservatives fascists and racist. However, fascism and nazism (national SOCIALISM) grew out of marxism. If you bother to read the works of Marx (which I know you can't be bothered to do) you will find that he was rabidly racist against jews, mexicans and blacks, to the point of advocating their extermination (this is where Hitler got the idea).

So, while the so called neo-cons have a multii-cultural cabinet with minorities in positions of real power, those who advocate genocide and jackboot wearing stormtroopers have the gall to call them racist and fascist.

Even the term neo-con is a misnomer, implying that these types of conservatives are somehow deviant from the mainstream. There is NO significant conservative movement besides the so called neo-cons. Neo-con MEANS conservative. And conservatives promote minority rights and freedom while liberals promote racism, genocide and the type of oppression seen under Hitler, Stalin and Mao.

Neo Conservatives came about in the mid to late seventies. They are primarily Israeli supporters who are also primarily of jewish descent or practice. They are called 'neo' because a bunch of them switched from the democratic party to the republican party at once.

at least that is how i understand it.

Thats cute - Pan, if neo-con were a compliment it wouldn't be the liberals' making. You guys are so poorly read. Neo-con is as much an 'insult' as is 'liberal'. Get friggin real and stop bickering.

"neo-con" is short for New-Conservative, where
"neo" is Greek for "new".

Generally, the new-con movement is considered
an outgrowth of the "Moral Majority" and
is usually associated with Ronald Reagan.

The New-cons have wrapped two different
forms of conservatism together:
Fiscal: Believe in small government, less
taxes, fewer regulations on business
Moral: Believe people should adhere to
the doctrines of a particular brand
of Christianity.

That is, generally Neo-cons believe that you
should remove rules restricting businesses from
destroying the environment, while adding rules
that prevent gay people from marrying each other.

ewww... not me. I cannot stand conservative racists..

Anyways, a neo con is like a huge right wing conservative. A lot of neo cons are known as "war whores" or "oil whores." they tend to liek war a lot. Bush could be an example.

basically, they are just really really right wing republicans. ewwww..

It stands for neo-conservative, or "new" conservative. Government has been trending towards more "liberal" thinking for several hundred years -- the reason we have welfare and public school, etc, whereas we used to have slaves and kids working in coal mines. Neo-conservatives don't necessarily want to go back to feudalism, but they do want to strip government of many of its social programs & spending. In other words, hard-core right wing republicans like Dick Chaney.

the recent conservatives are actually liberals. on no account like conservatives 30 years in the past. There are merely some conservatives in authorities now. maximum republicans are socialists a lifeless ringer for the democrats. massive authorities and intense taxes.

it's how people that can't spell big words try to convey the concept of "New Conservative".
It might also be a way for Republicans to distance themselves from Bush.
