Hey all. My mom has a boyfriend now because her and my dad split up when I was little. I don't know how to react to it. The guy is nice and all but I have never had a male figure in my life and I don't know how to act. Please help. Any suggestions will be highly considered. Thank you.

As long as he is a good and decent man, you should accept it and allow your mother to find happiness. Keep an honest, open eye out for him and don't let your father cloud your judgment.
If her boyfriend is truly gentle and kind to her, if he is non violent, supportive and caring, then this is probably what she needs. Let her have this friendship/relationship with him.
It seems pretty clear that there are reasons why she does not want to get back with your father and you probably know why.
If you really want a win-win situation, try this: Talk to your mother and let her know that you want her to be happy. Tell her of any fears and concerns that you might have (if any) so that she can act on them if needed. Then ask her if you can have a short outing alone with her boyfriend so that you can talk to him and see if you feel that he can be a good friend and male figure in your life. If he is a good man, he will cherish the opportunity to develop a friendship with you as well as with your mother because he will be smart enough to realize that when you date a single mother - it is a package deal and you have to be friends with her child(ren) too.

as long as he doesnt disrespect you be nice to the guy my mom and dad split when I was young and my mom has had boyfriend some I liked some not so much if you dont like him show him respect and keep your distance

Don't be selfish... your mom has the right to know another companion. As long as he doesn't try anything funny with you. If he ever did tell your mom right away.
