OMG! I have so many good horror to recommend. Well there's Ginger Snaps 1 & 2, The Night of the Demons Trilogy (a little cheesy but fun to watch), The Devil's Rejects, Saw 2, Wolf Creek, Final Destination 3, Resident Evil 1 & 2, Underworld 1 & 2, and so, so many more. Hope this helps. :)

I assumed from the "veg out" statement you meant movies that were out on video. As far as horror movies go, this is more on the suspense line I think but I recently watched The Skeleton Key and it was excellent. In addition a great feel good movie from back in the day is Sparkle...good storyline, great music and good to see some familiar faces in their younger days.
