The Yankees.....?

So, I've been a Yankees fan for all my life and nothing irritates me more than people saying "Yankees Suck"...Because guess what...THEY DONT SUCK......They have 26 championships and the only team that even comes close are the Cardinals with 9.... So, if they suck so bad why are they kicking everyones asses? That makes no sense to me at all.......And what's really stupid are the morons that say "Yankees buy the best players"..... Ummmmm Okayyyyyy isn't that what everyone want's to do? It's not my fault that other Billionaire team owners are greedy and want to keep all the money for themselves so they have a shitty team....
Oh and by the way....There never was a curse, the Red Sox just sucked for 87 years ;)

I dont like it anymore than you do. The Yankees arent bad at all. I picked them to win the series at the beginning of the year and i'm sticking with it.

As far as the Yankees buying the best players, they do, but they're no worse than the rest of the big market teams. The red sox are just as bad about it. Oh yeah, the red sox only stunk for 86 years, not 87. But i do think their looking forward to the 2090 season.

I would have to say that Yankee haters gear the "Yankees Suck" comments more at Steinbrenner than towards the quality of the team. The Yankees have been a good team near the top of the AL East for years now.

As for the Yankees buying the best players, of course they do. People complain about that because the have nots are always going to complain about the haves. Any franchise in the same financial position as the Yankees would be doing the exact same thing.

And as for saying the Red Sox suck, well they won a World Series more recently than the Yankees have. They're also currently in first with the second best record in the AL (the Yankees are behind them). They're second in batting and eighth in pitching in the AL (the Yankees are fourth in batting and 11th in pitching in the AL, behind the Red Sox in both categories).

I agree that since 1920, the Yankees generally did not suck. There were several years, from 1965 through 1995 when they only won four pennants (1976, 1977, 1978, & 1981) two World Series (1977 & 1978). But overall once Babe Ruth and Lou Genrig (numbers four and three) joined the team that they generally dominated.

Yes, they are in a class by themselves and we cannot dispute 26 rings.

Yankee haters might actually mean the ownership who sucks, or the management and the way they treat their fans sometimes. It does seem that they are mortgaging their future by signing free agents at the expense of home grown talent.

Thats exactly what I say to all the Yankee haters around my town. Every owner out there has a dream of owning the best team ever whether money is an issue or not but just because the Yankees are the only team capable of doing it...they become the enemy. GO YANKEES!!!!!!!

The Yankees suck for one reason. George. He is willing to spend over $200 million a year and his team still can't win the World Series. They get old veterans and trade away young prospects. Their rivals, the Red Sox have 3 starters who were in their farm system: Papelbon, Lester, and Youkilis. Oh and Nixon.

Let me just say, only because you put it in your question, "Yankees buy the best players". Who is the bigger idiot .... Georgie paying all those ... ... "High Price Players" and haven't won a championship in what since the David Wells era, and is now sitting 1/2 game up in the "WILD CARD" ... NO not the division, the wild card. Or, those dumb soles living in Chicago whom won it ALL with, now a days, a "Minimal payroll". $$$$$$ don't mean $HIT, heart and determination is the key. Ego's never wins cohesiveness all ways does.

the only reason i don't like the yanks besides the fact they won too much is they have too much money and they take all the other temas good players players that belonged to that team (A-rod; Randy Johnson; Johnny Dammon to name a few)
