The websites being wider than your screen is probably because you need to set your screen resolution higher. The higher your screen resolution, the more you can fit on the screen.

To fix the tiny lettering click "View" at the top of internet explorer scroll down "Text Size" and choose Medium. A shortcut would be to hold down the "ctrl" button on your keyboard and scroll the (if you have one) wheel on your mouse.
