I see a lot of answers from Conservatives that give the illusion that Dems want our current members of government to be more and more corrupt. They apparently think that Democrats want to use the corruption as a political weapon. I am a Democrat and all I want is for our politicians to be honest with us (ALL of them) and to help make this country a better place. I would be much happier if I could go through my life without having to worry about what some guy in Washington is doing with my taxes. Do the Republicans honestly think that corruption is what we want? If the politicians would just keep their records clean, we could get down to the business of running this country. Let me know what you think. And no lectures on why you don't like the other party, I've seen enough of that...just answer the question please. Thank you!

For the record, I never said that it was JUST Republicans who are corrupt. I know that Democrats are too. I think we see more about the Reps because they are in power and have greater numbers in the houses, not because of the media bias. During the Clinton scandal, that was all we saw on the news as well. I'm just glad to hear that there are those of you who don't believe that we like corruption in our government. To those of you who do believe that, you are sadly mistaken. And that is the problem. You complain about Liberals generalizing and lying about you, but you do it to us as well.

I'm a republican, but i believe that both parties do a really good job at exaggerating things and taking what the other party says out of context in order to may their party look more sane/compassionate/non-corrupt, ect....

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I follow your question fully...

I have always believed that we are dealing with a "lesser of two evils" point of view with modern day politicians. I am positive that Republicans NOR Democrats believe that corruption is the way to go. Unfortunately, many of their "handlers" (like James Carville for example) have no problem doing whatever it takes to make sure their side wins.

Happy to share more....

I am neither democrat nor republican.. I always vote on issue's... It is sad to see how the politician take advantage of their position it's almost legalized corruption regardless of the party.

At the end of the day I only hope to be to buddies with the guy who is in power be it in local, regional, state or national level politician.

Corruption runs on BOTH sides. It is not a Republican or Democrat thing. I think the light just shines more brightly on Republicans because of the media. I am a Republican and think that it goes both ways.

We need more politicians like Bush.....if you want to criticize, that is fine....but he has always been honest in what he plans to do, and then tried to do just that....Or maybe a Leiberman.....who from what I ahve heard, is pretty much the same way....These two men are what we want.....dedicated to their way of thinking....do what they see as right.....and to hell with with polls or what their party may say
