I am in regular attendance of A's games, and people DO NOT get arrested for starting the wave. I have even started a few waves at some games. I think your roomie was just feeding you a fake story or he was just making a joke. If it was illegal in one park, it would be illegal in all parks, and it's not at every single park i've been too.

Did you know "The Wave" started at Tiger Stadium in 1984?

True story.

I doubt that really happened. People do the wave at Shea Stadium all the time and nothing happens. Not me, I hate the wave and I think its stupid, but nontheless, its not illegal.

Banning the wave? I think thats called "communism". I hear it was all the rage back in the 60's.
