I personally think William will be an excellent King, In my opinion he should be crowned instead of his father, as I believe the British public will except him much more than they would his father`s wife. and I also think he is very much like his beloved Mum, who is still loved and missed by thousands not only in England but Worldwide. p.s Well done Andy B for your responce to mephistophetes answer.

A better one than Prince Charles, but I agree with another answer that he may well follow tradition more than expected, since his mother is no longer around to influence him.

I also think Harry will be very supportive of his brother, and they could well make an impressive duo, as they seem a lot closer than the current batch of brothers and sisters!

Who and why should anyone care? I do not know why anyone celebrates an institution which is responsible for more human suffering than any other institution that man has ever devised. Royalty merely reflects what the Mafia could have achieved in days gone by. Rapacious, addicted to violence, slavery and every vice ever devised by mankind. Continuing a 'myth' that Monarchy is 'good' is just ridiculous for a country which is 'democratic'.

Yea, well better than his father will be anyhow.

In response to Mephistopheles, it's a question of tradition and patriotism, it is one of the things that makes our country special. It doesn't have any adverse effects on our democracy either, the royals actually have very little power these days, or at least have the sense not to use it, they exist mostly for ceremonial reasons.

I have a feeling he will surprise us all. I think that despite current form, he will be quite traditional in his approach to the Monarchy. As for the anti-monarchists who keep contributing, try to read the question before answering - all that is required is a civil answer. If the question is beyond you, move on to another. It is not a platform for anti - monarchy rhetoric!!!! Motto: Show some respect for others, even if you do not agree with them, civility costs nothing!

He would make a good King unlike his father who always seems to have such a pained expression on his face almost evertime you see him on TV.There are many people that have more reason than him to look that way yet are cheerful.

Really makes no difference who the monarch is.
They are only figureheads anyway with no real power to speak of.
