I would grab a knife and cut them free because if it were ME in all that duct tape - I'd be freaking out!!!

Depends on the situation:: If he/she and her friends(you cant do that by yourself) did it for fun then i'd smile. If they did it as art , i'd appreciate it. If it was an attempt at a statement then i'd listen.
If it was done as a sexual act , i'd ask that they be more private(assuming i'd already spoken to the offspring about sexual matters) Now, of course if it was done by someone meaning harm, I would free my child and console. of course i love my children so i'd probably look for some reprisal like perhaps a jalapeno-LSD enema or the like administered to the attacker. So, in short, it would depend on the situation but the one constant would be that I love my children VERY much and I wouldn't forget that in my 'shock'. Yes, I do have a son and a daughter so I'm not an armchair parent here. plus I had a dad that would have seen me in this state, beat the **** out of me and taken the opportunity to search my room for drugs.
